Ruutibudjetti is the annual model for participatory budgeting in Helsinki’s youth services. In RuutiBudjetti, ideas are gathered and refined locally and in multiple stages so that as many young people as possible have the chance to participate.
Voting is now open
The voting period is 4.-29 October. All pupils in grades 6–9 can vote using their Wilma credentials, primarily at the voting events at their local school, or independently on their own time. Young people aged 12–17 who are not enrolled in a school can vote at their local Youth Centres.
The advisory boards involve young people from the area, the Local Youth Work Manager, experts specialised in the RuutiBudjetti plans made in the area, and decision-makers.
RuutiBudjetti - this is how you participate
In RuutiBudjetti, young people aged 12-17 get to influence the planning of the city's youth services and budget.
